Language Matters – an opportunity to learn and influence

This is a call for the final spaces at two workshops being run by the Tech Partnership for employers and university representatives with an interest in practical action to improve student employability and the flow of talent into digital careers.

Bringing together leaders from industry and education, these workshops will be held in central London on Monday 11th June, 12:00 – 16:00 and in Manchester on Tuesday 12th June, 11:00 – 15:00.

As part of this project, we’ll be launching that week, and sharing with you, a unique report ‘Language Matters’ designed to help improve the understanding of language used in IT-related education and employment.

This is part of a project commissioned by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS). Organisations large and small, including Accenture, the BBC, Quicksilva and Dreamr, will share short case studies to kick off the discussions. We will also explore new ways to make it easier for students to transition into IT-related degrees, degree apprenticeships and graduate roles.

If you would like to take advantage of this opportunity to learn from the experiences of others and to help generate new approaches to addressing an important matter for the UK, please contact Bob Clift on before Friday 1st June.
