TechFuture Girls get spooky with the new Halloween module and competition

20.10.2017

The Tech Partnership have launched a new TechFuture Girls Halloween challenge where girls can learn how to make animated GIFs using Photoshop and enter the Halloween competition, where one winning entry will receive a TechFuture Girls trophy for their school.

With only 16% of women working as digital specialists in the UK and 138,000 new entrants needed each year between now and 2025, we can all do more to encourage girls to enhance their digital skills. That's why TechFuture Girls aims to inspire the next generation through topical subjects including sports & fitness, cyber safety, creative coding, digital fundraising, fashion and tech, digital music making, and digital CSI.

With the new TechFuture Girls learning platform launched last month, not only is there new content to get girls enthusiastic about the world of digital, but each module is linked to a digital badge. Students can therefore earn badges as they learn a whole new range of skills.

There’s also help for teachers as each topic has a How2 Guide which minimises lesson planning, and all materials are free to schools and colleges in the UK. If you are a teacher or club organiser, register on the new platform and get your TechFuture Girls club taking part in our Halloween competition and accessing a host of new challenges.

To enter the competition, tweet your animated GIF to @techfuture_uk or email newsdesk@thetechpartnership.com .

Closing date: 8th December 2017
