    This poll was conducted to explore employers’ perceptions about digital and tech apprenticeships. The findings are being used by the Tech Partnership to increase awareness and understanding of how apprenticeships can benefit their businesses.

    This fact sheet provides an overview of digital apprenticeship participation across the UK using workforce estimates from the ONS Labour Force Survey together with apprenticeship statistics provided by the Skills Funding Agency/BIS (England), Skills Development Scotland, The Welsh Government and DELNI Northern Ireland.

  • Education, Skills and the Economy Sub Committee Enquiry into Apprenticeships (March 16)


    In March 2016, the Tech Partnership submitted evidence to the Education, Skills and Economy Sub Committee Enquiry into Apprenticeships. The report advises that employer responsibility and input into apprenticeships must continue, to ensure coherence in an ‘increasingly chaotic’ landscape.

    This research was designed to elicit employer responses to why they have or have not yet taken digital apprentices in their organisations. The report was constructed by analysing the results of a small survey carried out on the Tech Partnership website between February and March 2016.

    The Insight on IT & Telecoms Apprenticeships report looks at the take up and levels of satisfaction with IT & Telecoms Apprenticeships voiced by UK employers over the summer/autumn of 2011. The report is based on the results of a major survey commissioned to better understand the IT training needs and related development practices of UK businesses.
